 Create an industry leading lighted outsole, that would help elevate Star Wars licsensed premium product.

Consumer Insight:

Combine kids love of lighted shoes and market appeal of Star Wars, to create a must have product.

  • Reinvigorated sales in the Star Wars property when the market was crowded with competetive product.
  • Led Stride Rite Childrens Group lighted sales at the time.
  • Expanded lighted assortment in whole sales espeically with Nordstrom.
  • Helped drive customer conversion in Stride Rite owned stores.

Technology Inspiration

References for creating a light that would cover the entire back heel clip with only two LEDs. This would provide a more impactful look, while reducing cost.

During the corse of the project, we found that this was not so simple and ended up with multiple LED's on a flexible cuircut board that wrapped the heel.
